KALAHI-CIDSS helps community accessed resources PDF Print E-mail

Bagamanoc, Catanduanes - “Yes, we made it!” Brgy Captain Remegio Lim cheerfully replies upon the approval of their proposal for training on fish and seaweed processing.

“It really pays to do our part rather than wait especially when it comes to accessing resources,” Lim added.

The training on fish and seaweed processing was one of the interventions identified during the conduct of KALAHI-CIDSS Municipal Inter Barangay Forum (MIBF). MIBF is a unique KALAHI-CIDSS mechanism whereby the community proposals presented by the volunteers are ranked for possible funding under the KALAHI-CIDSS KKB project. The training on fish and seaweed processing was the second top priority need identified by the community next to the construction of a sea wall.
